The time finally came for the downstairs bathroom to be painted.  The old wall paper was having serious issues with mold and mildew as well as peeling off the walls.  As much as we liked the pattern and the look of the bathroom, it is time for something clean and new.  The new paint will be bathroom paint able to resist the moisture from showers and hopefully further reduce our inside allergies.  Here are some pictures from day 1 showing the room right before the painters arrived and right after they left for the day.  It is amazing how much progress they made just in one day:

  Day 2 is now complete.  The first coat of the new color is now on the walls.  Tomorrow everything should be finished up.

 

Day 3 is now complete.  All that is left is adding new hardware to the bathroom and then we are all set.

 

 

 

This year for vacation we decided to head to Florida with our good friends and neighbors.  We were able to share a timeshare which is located near Disney.  To make the trip more interesting we decided to ride Amtrak from 30th Street Station in Philadelphia to Orlando Florida.  The trip is about 20 hours, but it passes quickly considering a large portion of the trip is overnight.  We booked sleeping accommodations which includes all our meals and it was much more enjoyable than driving or flying.

Day 1:  April 6, 2009

Our first day there we decided to visit Epcot Center since our neighbors had not done that on previous trips.  Here is Sarah with our neighbor's daughter.
